After the London event: what guests stayed behind to talk about

The conversations that matter usually happen after the agenda ends. On stage we talk method; off it, people ask about their own family.

Three kinds of question people stay to ask

Exit and succession

What happens to the property in the end, whether the children will take it on, and what to do if they will not. There is no slot for this on an agenda, but almost every family is thinking about it.

Tax and filing

What has to be filed this year, who files it, what happens if it is wrong. The most detailed questions usually come from people who already own something.

Aligning the timetable

School entry, residency timeline, funds arriving — how the three lines sit on one page. This is where most mistakes happen.

Why these questions are not asked in the room

They all turn on specifics inside a family: what business someone runs, where the money came from, how the children are doing at school, which spouse moves first. None of that belongs in front of several dozen people.

So the agenda covers method, and the room afterwards covers the family. Half the value of an event is on stage. The other half is what happens once the stage is done.

How we pick it up

Who

The same advisor throughout

Changing advisor means the client explains their family all over again. We do not do that.

When

A reply within 48 hours

With a next step, not a brochure pack. Clients already have more material than they need.

How

Where it needs to land, a private call or a site visit

What cannot be said clearly in a room gets said elsewhere. What cannot be explained on paper gets seen on site.

What an event actually produces

Not how many cards were collected, but how many families left knowing their next step. That number appears in no summary, yet it decides whether the event was worth running again.

We run fifteen to twenty events a year, from a few dozen people to several hundred. The test has never changed: once the room empties, is anyone still willing to stay and finish the conversation?

Want to talk this through in person

Private salons run 50–80 guests; the HNW Wealth Summit is limited to 98 seats. Leave your details and a membership advisor will confirm your situation, then suggest the right one.
